Back In Town

You may have noticed I hit “Pause” on my food diary over the past few days–I had to be in Las Vegas for work, but I got home this morning at about 12:30am. I woke up feeling a little sleepy but in a great mood, happy to be home.

In case you are interested, my trip was ALL BUSINESS. I did not gamble a penny (and I love to play craps), and the only adult beverage I consumed was a Bud Light in the airport, waiting for my flight home. Hmmmm, I sorta acted like a 50 year old, didn’t I? 😉 The truth is, my company invested millions on this training, and I tried to maximize my time and learn as much as possible.

While in Vegas, I some of my eating followed my version of Primal/Paleo eating, and some did not. Because of the rigorous meeting schedule, I did a bunch of intermittent fasting because our breaks between sessions and lunch time ended up fairly short.

I did take my stuff to work out, but I ended up not feeling up to going to the gym because I did not sleep well, primarily due to the time change. I got less than three hours of sleep Monday night. I spend the rest of the trip trying to dig out of that sleep deficit hole. I decided to take the time I would have spent in the gym on Wednesday and sleep instead.

I am glad to get back to regular eating today!
