The Same As Yesterday
I mentioned before how I get into cycles of eating the same thing over and over. This is a good thing when I eat food aligned with my version of Primal/Paleo–no so much when I slip up and fall into the sugar and grains trap. I guess because I’m not traveling for work this week, I’m on a bacon, eggs, potato, and green smoothy kick for lunch. Easy and quick to prepare–the Vitamix is a must for making smoothies.
As I do every morning first thing, I tested my body, using the Ketonix Sport w Battery, to see if I’m in a ketogenic state. Today my body seemed to crave carbohydrate which, if I eat too much or the wrong kind, I have the potential to throw my body out of ketosis. What I mean by “wrong kind” is carbohydrate containing refined sugar, grains, and/or processed food. Using this daily testing I’ve narrowed down my carbohydrate tolerance to roughly under 200g if the carbs come from real food. Given that I took in an estimated 209g of carbs (logging my food is far from accurate, I do the best I can), it’s quite possible I could wake up tomorrow out of ketosis–tune in tomorrow and we shall see!
