Old Dog, New Tricks
Woke up this morning to more white flakes falling to the ground! Yes! 😀 The rest of my family decided to turn in their gear–they are done skiing/boarding. Not this guy. My legs feel fresh and my body feels great–the 50 year-old outlasts the 15 and 17 year old. You think my fitness regime may be working? 😉
Since snowboarding by myself isn’t my favorite, I made an impulsive decision to take a group lesson today. It turned out to be myself and a 20 year old in the all day lesson. I’m not bragging, but I totally stayed with the youngster as our instructor took us down black diamond runs all afternoon!
Snowboarding all day makes me hungry! The days I board for over five hours, my calorie consumption goes up. The other thing I’ve noticed is, despite (relatively) high days of carbohydrate consumption, I’ve tested in ketosis during this whole trip.
